Alliance AutoGas Tops Industry Growth

Propane AutoGas Network Shows $32 million in Fuel Cost Savings and 18.6 million Gallons of Gasoline Displaced

April 3, 2014 - Five short years since its inception in 2009, Alliance AutoGas, envisioned and developed by Blossman Gas CEO and President Stuart Weide, has shown unprecedented growth, now touting 91 members including propane companies, conversion centers and technology partners in 43 states.

When America needed a viable fuel option to address the issues of economics, environment, and national security – simultaneously, propane autogas became the answer. Now the country’s most viable alternative fuel for light- and medium-duty fleets has proven itself as a top fuel technology. With over 150 vehicle platform certifications obtained, Alliance AutoGas has been quietly switching thousands of U.S. fleet vehicles to run on autogas.

With 280 fleets serviced, 6200 vehicles converted nationally with over 220,000,000 miles driven by these fleets, the Alliance AutoGas members have collectively displaced 18.6 million gallons of gasoline and shown $32 million in fuel cost savings for 280 fleets serviced by the Alliance utilizing over 600 fueling centers throughout the United State.

Notes Mr. Weidie, “Our country depends on a strong and efficient transportation and service delivery sector to help restore and sustain a thriving economy. Businesses and government organizations that rely on vehicle fleets continue to face a very real crisis in the convergence of high fuel prices, demands for cleaner air, and strong pressure to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. There is now a national conversation about propane autogas, which provides an immediate, very practical solution. It is time that every fleet in the U.S. understands and takes action on converting their fleets to autogas with very little investment. ”

With propane diesel blends now launching into the heavy duty truck market, Alliance AutoGas recently announced a new joint venture in the U.S with Canada’s BL Energie, forming BL Energie USA which will develop, market and sell EPA and CARB certified systems for Diesel Displacement systems on heavy duty Class 7 & 8 trucks. Unlike traditional diesel blend systems, the diesel displacement technology allows existing diesel engines to be converted to a blend of propane or natural gas reducing diesel consumption, thereby reducing emissions and providing fuel cost savings up to 17%. Prins, the developer of vapor liquid and direct injection engine technologies will be the technology provider for BL Energie USA as well as Alliance AutoGas and its partners.
